Memorandum of Understanding signed on 2nd December 2024 between the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS) at SGBIT, Belagavi and Zeel Code Labs. This MoU facilitates collaborative training programs, internship opportunities, project mentoring, and industry-aligned curriculum enhancement for CSBS students, strengthening the connection between academic computer science and business systems education with real-world technology industry practice.
The CSBS Department at SGBIT organizes industrial visits to reputed technology companies and software organizations, providing students with direct exposure to software development workflows, enterprise application systems, agile methodologies, and business technology integration. These industry visits bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional practice, helping CSBS students develop a strong understanding of how computer science principles are applied in business environments.
The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems at SGBIT regularly organizes guest lectures and technical sessions by industry professionals from software companies, technology startups, and business enterprises. These interactions expose CSBS students to real-world applications of computer science in business contexts, current industry trends, career pathways, and the professional skills essential for success in the technology and business systems industry.
The CSBS Department at SGBIT collaborates with industry training partners to deliver technical skill development programs in programming, web technologies, enterprise systems, business analytics, and emerging tools. These industry-connect programs prepare Computer Science and Business Systems students with practical, job-ready skills that complement the VTU curriculum and enhance placement outcomes in software development and IT-enabled business roles.
The CSBS Department at SGBIT actively participates in and organizes hackathons, coding contests, and business-technology competitions in collaboration with industry partners. These events challenge students to develop innovative software solutions for real business problems, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, applied computer science thinking, and industry-relevant problem solving among Computer Science and Business Systems students.
