His Holiness Poojya Shri Dr. Shivabasava Mahaswamiji of Rudrakshimath, Naganur is a revered ascetic and a divine spiritual leader widely respected across Southern India. In 1994, Poojya Shri Dr. Tontad Siddharama Mahaswamiji succeeded as the ninth pontiff of Rudrakshimath, Naganur. Swamiji is a distinguished scholar and a postgraduate from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University. In recognition of his remarkable contributions to society and education, Rani Chennamma University, Belagavi, conferred upon him an Honorary Doctorate in 2013. A visionary leader with deep spiritual insight, Swamiji has played a vital role in strengthening the educational initiatives of the Shri Siddharameshwar Education Society.

With the blessings of Poojya Shri Dr. Shivabasava Mahaswamiji, the present Swamiji further expanded the vision of the trust by establishing S. G. Balekundri Institute of Technology (SGBIT) in 2008 at Belagavi, named after Karnataka’s renowned irrigation technologist Shri S. G. Balekundri. Through his profound guidance, efficient administration, and the dedicated efforts of experienced faculty, the institute has grown into a premier engineering institution, attracting students and distinguished personalities alike.

S. G.
