The organizational structure of S G Balekundri Institute of Technology (SGBIT), Belagavi, defines the reporting hierarchy, roles, responsibilities, and communication channels across all administrative, academic, and support units. The structure is constituted in compliance with AICTE norms and VTU affiliation requirements, under the aegis of the Shree Siddharameshwar Education Trust (SSET), Belagavi.

The hierarchy ensures efficient governance from the Governing Council at the apex through the Principal's Office, down to academic departments, administrative sections, and student-support bodies — fostering accountability, transparency, and academic excellence.

Apex Governance — SSET Trust & Governing Council

The statutory apex body of SGBIT Belagavi

  • SSET Trust (Founder Body): Shree Siddharameshwar Education Trust, Belagavi — the parent body establishing and funding SGBIT.
  • President: Dr. Allamaprabhu Swamiji — Spiritual head and president of the trust.
  • Chairman (GC): Dr. F. V. Manvi — Chairs the Governing Council and guides strategic policy.
  • Vice-President: Prof. Kamala Balekundri — Supports trust leadership and institutional planning.
  • Governing Council: 14-member apex body comprising management nominees, AICTE/VTU/DTE nominees, academic experts, and the Principal as Member Secretary.
  • Member Secretary / Principal: Dr. B. R. Patagundi — Executive head of SGBIT; implements GC decisions and heads all operations.
