The SGBIT Central Library is a fully automated, Wi-Fi enabled knowledge centre serving students, faculty, and researchers of SG Balekundri Institute of Technology, Belagavi. It is equipped with the Koha Library Management System (LMS) for seamless cataloguing, circulation, and OPAC access.

The library is a proud member of DELNET (Developing Library Network), NDLI (National Digital Library of India), and participates in the VTU Consortium for access to premier international databases including IEEE Xplore, Elsevier ScienceDirect, Springer, and more.

Access to world-class digital resources via VTU Consortium and institutional subscriptions:

• Library cards are non-transferable. Loss of card must be reported immediately.
• UG students may borrow 2 books for 14 days; PG students may borrow 3 books for 21 days.
• A fine of ₹2 per day per book is charged for overdue returns.
• Strict silence must be maintained inside the library premises.
• Mobile phones must be switched off or kept in silent mode.
• Food, beverages and smoking are strictly prohibited inside the library.
• Personal bags must be deposited at the property counter before entry.
• Books must be handled carefully; damage or loss will be charged.
• OPAC terminals are available for book search. Internet terminals are for academic use only.
• Reading Hall access is permitted with a valid SGBIT ID card.
• Reference books, journals and project reports are for in-library use only (no home lending).
• Students must return all library books before receiving their No-Objection Certificate (NOC).
